The two days observation of an esteemed panel of judges comprising Ms. Vaishali Bisht, Ms. Arati Kodali – Education Consultant and Mr. Sachidananda Mohanty – Professor of English at the University of Hyderabad brought to light the best speaker in - Santosh of DPS – Hyderabad. All in all it was a very enthusiastic event with lot of learning.
Prof Sachidananda Mohanty, English Dept., Central University, Hyderabad, appreciated the idea of having a Cambridge-style debate at the school level and lauded Glendale for having started it as an inter school event.
He said that all schools must have regular debates. This will make the jobs of universities easier as India has very little or no debates at the school level and hence it becomes difficult to inculcate it at the university level. |
